Dave Grohl To Present And Produce HBO Show

Dave Grohl has signed on with cable network HBO to present and produce a show similar in nature to his Sound City documentary. According to Team Rock, "the series will see the Foo Fighters' frontman visit, and record music at, some of the world's most iconic recording studios. Grohl will also conduct interviews for the series, speaking with some of the artists who have recorded at each facility."

Team Rock also reveals that Steve Albini’s Electrical Audio studio in Chicago, Don Zientara’s Inner Ear studios in Washington DC and Rancho De La Luna studios in California will be among the studios featured in the new series. Grohl also visited studios in New York, Seattle and Nashville.

Look for the new series, which doesn't have a premiere date yet, to feature interviews with the likes of Paul Stanley, Nancy Wilson, Joe Walsh from The Eagles and Fugazi's Ian MacKaye. Speaking of Joe Walsh, the guitarist told The Hollywood Reporter that he guests on the new Foo Fighters record. "I was a Foo Fighter for two days and played on a track of theirs that’s gonna come out. I also play guitar on a War song, so I’m a low rider and a Foo Fighter,” Walsh said.
