Led Zeppelin Shares Whole Lotta Love Rough Mix

We're less than a month away from June 3 - a date Led Zeppelin fans have had circled on the calendar since it was revealed deluxe re-issues of the band's first three studio albums would be released on that day. Last month Led Zeppelin shared a taste of a previously-unreleased live show from the re-issue of the band's debut and today we get to hear an outtake from Led Zeppelin II.

Yesterday Rolling Stone premiered the radio edit of a rough mix of "Whole Lotta Love." The publication notes that the track features, "a different take on Jimmy Page's experimental guitar effects, only a little of Robert Plant's trippy vocal wails and none of his pyrotechnic guitar solo." It has us very excited to hear more previously-unreleased Led Zep material. Check out the rough mix of "Whole Lotta Love":

The Led Zeppelin II companion audio contains alternate mixes of five songs from the album, backing tracks to "Thank You" and "Living Loving Maid (She's Just A Woman)," and the previously unreleased track "La La."
