Jam Cruise 13 Initial Lineup Revealed

Jam Cruise 13 will set sail aboard the MSC Divina from Miami on January 6 and will host a bevy of musical performances across its stages and spaces before returning to Miami on January 11. Today, the initial lineup for the destination event was revealed. Pretty Lights (with the live band), Umphrey's McGee, The Word and Galactic are among the dozens of Jam Cruise 13 acts announced today that also includes Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, G. Love & Special Sauce, Lettuce, Charles Bradley and the Extraordinaires, John Scofield Uberjam Band and Snarky Puppy

Jam Cruise is a music festival like no other. From the time you board the boat until the time you leave, you’re visiting a utopian environment with thousands of like-minded music fans. There’s opportunities to hang with the musicians in a relaxed environment, tons of music-related activies and plenty of once-in-a-lifetime collaborations. One such collaboration looks to be a Jerry Garcia tribute put together to honor the Grateful Dead singer/guitarist 50 years after the legendary band formed and 20 years after his death. The JC13 Tribute to Jerry Garcia will feature guitarist Steve Kimock, bassist Bobby Vega, guitarist Dan "Lebo" Lebowitz, keyboardist Jeff Chimenti and drummers Bill Vitt and John Kimock.

A number of acts will join the Jam Cruise family in January including Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Elephant Revival, The Nth Power, M&M, Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds, Kung Fu and Fruition. Nathan Moore will be back, making fans of "The Spot" he holds down for late night performances happy, while Eric Krasno has been tapped to host the Jam Cruise 13 Super Jam. Disco Biscuits bassist Marc "Brownie" Brownstein will be aboard for a DJ set as will former STS9 bassist David Murphy. One of the many things we love about Jam Cruise is all the special guests they bring aboard to collaborate with the other artists on the boat. Today's announcement reveals that George Porter Jr., Ike Stubblefield, Mike Dillon, Roosevelt Collier, John Gros and Anders Beck will be special guests on JC13.

Cabins go on sale to all who reserved a spot in the pre-book period during token redemption starting May 8. Rooms go up for grabs to the general public on May 15 at 12 p.m. ET. Jam Cruise 13 will visit the ports of Roatan, Honduras and Costa Maya, Mexico in January. Head to the Jam Cruise website for more information about ticketing and the trip itself. Stay tuned for additional Jam Cruise 13 announcements.
