Michael Franti has rounded up a number of his musical friends for a special benefit concert that will be held at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, CA on April 30. The show benefits Franti's Do It For the Love Foundation and the launch of Music Heals International.

Dan "Lebo" Lebowitz of ALO, Jason Crosby and RatDog members Rob Wasserman, Robin Sylvester and Jay Lane are all set to appear at the show on the 30th. A note on the venue's website mentions "special surprise guests" will also take part in the benefit.

The Do It For The Love Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization that brings the gift of live music to people with life threatening illnesses, children with severe challenges and wounded veterans. The foundation consists of a network of musicians dedicated to bringing joy, healing, hope and an unforgettable experience of celebrating life. Founded by musician Michael Franti and ER Nurse Sara Agah and launched in August 2013, Do It For The Love has granted over 85 recipients and caretakers the opportunity to enjoy shows, as well as Meet & Greet their favorite musicians. The organization has had wishes granted by George Strait, Pink, Miley Cyrus, Jack Johnson, Michael Franti and David Benoit to name a few, and have artists like John Oates, Train, Brett Dennen on board as Music Ambassadors and have partnered with musicians from across the world to create life changing experiences for their fans and families.

Music Heals International (MHI) was founded in 2013 with the goal of bringing music and musicians to the children of Haiti and to other parts of the world. MHI programs are designed to teach and inspire, using music as a powerful force for education, creativity, and healing. For its first project, MHI will collaborate with the nation's leading non-profit for music education, Little Kids Rock, and the Haitian relief organization, J/P HRO, to bring LKR's very special program to schools in Port Au Prince, Haiti for the first time, focusing on the community of Delmas 32. The goal is to provide a transformative experience in kids’ lives, and with the power of music, to inspire the creativity and confidence that are critical to success in school and in life.

Tickets for the show are currently available via Ticketfly.
