Cover Alert | Mantras Cover Umphrey's McGee & Chicago

Earlier this month North Carolina-based jam act The Mantras kicked off an extensive tour at The Cubby Bear in Chicago. The Mantras paid tribute to The Windy City by performing a medley that combined Umphrey's McGee's "Hurt Bird Bath" with "25 or 6 to 4" by Chicago.

The six-piece's connection to Umphrey's goes well beyond the cover as UM guitarist Jake Cinninger guest produced and engineered the band's Jambands Ruined My Life studio album at his Boon Docks Studios in Michigan. Cinninger also performs on the tracks "Kinetic Bump" and "Hose Of Cards." Earlier today The Mantras posted pro-shot footage of the Chicago medley on their YouTube channel. Take a look:
