On March 31 Carnegie Hall in New York City will host the latest tribute put together by
impresario Michael Dorf. This time around the all-star cast of musicians will honor the
music of Paul Simon. One of the latest additions to the lineup is none other than Phish
bassist Mike Gordon according to Jambands.com.
Gordon is one of many acts on a bill that also includes X's John Doe, Gibby Haynes and Bob
Forrest of the Butthole Surfers, Josh Ritter, Joe Henry, Bob Mould, Sam Moore, Ben Sollee,
Dan Wilson, Bettye LaVette, Joy Williams (The Civil Wars), Madeleine Peyroux & Jon
Herington (Steely Dan), Allen Toussaint, Brett Dennen, Richard Marx, Isobel Campbell &
Cabic (Vetiver) and Judy Collins.
Brooklyn's Antibalas will serve as the evening's house band. 100% of the net proceeds from
the show will be given to music education organizations for underprivileged youth and Dorf
revealed over $1 million has gone to this cause from past concerts. Tickets are on sale
