Flashback | MTV News 1993 H.O.R.D.E. Tour Profile

After a successful first installment of the traveling H.O.R.D.E. Festival in 1992, Blues Traveler headlined 1993's second go-around which also featured Widespread Panic, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, Col. Bruce Hampton & The Aquarium Rescue Unit, The Samples and All Good. The cross-country tour exposed many music fans to these acts for the first time and gave the bands a chance to collaborate at much bigger venues than they could've played without sharing the bill.

After the breakthrough success of the Spin Doctors and Blues Traveler, H.O.R.D.E. was on the mainstream radar and even garnered a visit from MTV News. The Samples front man Sean Kelly recently shared the MTV News profile on his YouTube channel and gives us a chance to see young versions of John Bell, Kelly, Chan Kinchla, Jimmy Herring and others involved in the tour. Songs used in the feature include Panic's "Can't Get High" and The Samples's "When It's Raining." Check it out:
