Georgia rockers Widespread Panic are gearing up for another big year. Today, the band has
announced a spring tour and revealed that they will return for the second installment of
the Lockn' Festival.
Panic will start things off with a brief all-acoustic Wood Tour that will visit Richmond,
VA; Birmingham, AL and Nashville, TN. John Bell and Co. delivered their first Wood Tour back in 2012 just before heading off on hiatus. The 2012 Wood Tour featured 11 dates in four cities, while this time around Wood Tour '13 hits three cities for a total of six shows.
The Spring Tour begins with the band's Panic en la
Playa destination event in the Dominican Republic and continues with a rare West Coast
swing before the group returns to the South for two shows at Wilmington, NC's Azalea Festival. As mentioned above, Widespread Panic will return to Lockn', where they are set to play
two nights at the event between Sept. 4 and 7. Tickets for most shows go on sale this
Friday. Full ticketing details for each show are available via the band's website.
