In a little over a month Jam Cruise 12 will depart from
Miami on January 4 and today organizers have announced a new program called Late Night Chefs. Cloud 9 has arranged for four
talented chefs from across the country to "curate their own unique cuisine for a late
buffet aboard the ship." Each night will feature a different style of cuisine, including
"The Crawfish King" Chris "Shaggy" Davis will curate "New Orleans Night," while Lyons Fork
Restaurant's Ian Rubenoff will be in charge of "Southern Comfort Night." Jam Cruise has
tapped Archna MalhotraBecker of Bhojanic in Decatur, GA to run Indian night and Bradford
McDevitt of McDevitt Taco Supply in Boulder, CO to serve up taco night. Bios for each chef are available on the Jam Cruise website.
With music running at all hours of the night, we're sure there will be plenty of cruisers
excited to sample their wares. Additional late night buffet announcements are expected soon.
Jam Cruise organizers have also announced a number of on-board activities including Wheel of FORTUNE COOKIE! hosted by Jon Fishman & Col. Bruce Hampton, featuring the New Mastersounds as House Band and lighting by Chris Kuroda. Here's the description:
Are you ready to solve the puzzle? You may think you can master the traditional game, but contestants are in for some hilarious surprises in Jam Cruise's Wheel of FORTUNE COOKIE! Spin the wheel and crack open a fortune cookie to see what the Colonel and Fishman have in store - you may be in for a challenge of wit, skill, or pure luck as you attempt to win the chance to call out a letter. First contestant to solve the puzzle WINS! Contestants will be chosen from the audience - stand out from the crowd to enhance your chance!
Jam Cruise 12 sets sail from January 4 - 9 boasting
lineup that includes Les Claypool's Duo de Twang, Thievery Corporation, Bootsy
and the Funk Unity Band, Galactic, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe and Lotus.
