Widespread Panic To Release Oak Mountain '01 Night Two

Recently Widespread Panic sent out a newsletter than contained some long-awaited information. Following the release of Oak Mountain 2001 - Night One earlier this year, the band will drop an official recording of the second night from that legendary run on December 10.

Widespread Panic's July 28, 2001 performance is towards the top of many fans "best of" lists thanks to two all-around scorching sets that contained exquisitely played covers and originals. The show features the band's original lineup as guitarist Mikey Houser was absolutely on fire that evening. Panic busted out "Down On The Farm" for the first time in two years and loaded the show with classic rock covers such as The Band's "Ophelia," Bob Dylan's "All Along The Watchtower" and "Dear Mr. Fantasy" by Traffic. There's even a jaw- dropping "Astronomy Domine" jam that comes out of drums. We look forward to hearing the soundboard.
