Earlier this month Billy
Joel played a show on Long Island as a prelude for his upcoming European Tour. Joel, who
hinted at retirement earlier this year, looks to have put those plans on the backburner as
it's just been revealed that he'll perform a U.S. date in Sunrise, FL on January 7.
The lone announced U.S. date at this moment takes place at BB&T Center in Sunrise, FL.
Tickets go on sale this Saturday at 10 a.m. ET. Rolling Stone posted about a potential full arena tour after a listing for a
January 22nd date in Jacksonville, FL surfaced on Live Nation last week. It will be
interesting to see if the potential tour includes a New Year's Date as Joel has famously
performed a number of NYE shows over the year such as his "Millennium Show" at Madison
Square Garden on December 31, 1999.
