From www.thebloodbrothers.com:

Dear Friends,

The Blood Brothers
After 10 years of making music as The Blood Brothers, we have made the collective decision that our time together has come to an end. We feel extremely fortunate to have spent such a deeply memorable and amazing part of our lives with each other. At this point, however, we feel it's best that our futures move forward on separate paths. We'd like to express our sincerest thanks and gratitude to all the bands we've played with, individuals who have helped us make our records, and fans who have come to our shows and picked up our music throughout the years. Your friendship, support and love hold such a profoundly special place in each of our hearts. We hope that the memories you attach to our music are as fond as those you have given us. Thank you and take care, we'll miss all of you.

Love,
The Blood Brothers

Im all for jambase covering a wide variety of styles and bands, but this article seriously comes as a suprise to me. if this band is the same blood brothers i know, i cant imagine anyone here being interested in this. of course im probably wrong and someone will respond with a hard chap at me, but whatever...

thanks for the chap hummus i was expecting it. it was pretty some good satire too, you got potential, kid. anyway, im far form igorant minded, i listen to all kinds of music so stop being so quick to run your mouth. in my opinion, the blood brothers are simply a band that have little variety in their style and have little talent. what they do have a lot of is distorion and volume. they hold nothing in comparison to other metal-based bands such as mr. bungle (or anything mike patton was involved in), hella, tool, etc. again this is just my opinion and i hold nothing against you for enjoying their music, but please stop your bitchin

Great story. Compelling, and rich.

I love scotch. Scotchy, scotch, scotch. Here it goes down, down into my belly...

the blood brothers are an amzing band, the progression of their music from their begining CDs till now is awesom. they are raw emotion, with metaphorical lyrics that make your head go nuts trying to discet them.

very random jambase having this artical but as a fan of metal/punk/trance/jam whatever (a real music conavisuer(sp?) it show jambase isnt just for one type of music they comment on a spectrum outside only jam bands. cause there is lots good music besides JAMBSE>COM.

god damn it, half the people (if not 90 percent) that frequent this website are probably some custy-ass kids. i didn't really give this band a chance cuz I hated the singer, all he did was scream. the music however was awesome (the only time I really heard it...). i love CERTAIN jam bands, and I LOVE LOTS OF OTHER MUSIC TOO. the douchebags on this site rip on bands they've never heard before unless they're already loosely related to the jam scene. what a bunch of losers. listen to the mars volta. peace.

crazyleggedelbow - You sound like the asshole "super heady" white kid with the dreadlocks selling molly in the parking lot at shows while wearing a Tribe of Judah baseball cap with it cocked to the side. You use the term "custy" like you have something against the customer's who buy your drugs and hippie trinkets so that you can afford to survive while on tour? This has always baffled me... Anyway...outside of your little parking lot crowd, you are just viewed as an unhygenic smelly little lot rat.

How was the klan meeting last night Crazyleggedelbow? Pull the sheet off and give yourself some air. You need serious help if the term "whiteboy" provokes a touché "spic." I wonder how the rest of us kikes and niggers stack up in your small world.

Wow... and I'm not even Puerto Rican! I am actually Swedish and Irish and a mix of some other European countries. I must have really hit a nerve somewhere. Well...I guess the truth does hurt sometimes. I can really see the lot rat aggression being exhibited here. Lay off the molly Crazylegs.

For folks who supposedly like live music you really missed the boat on this band. They were an experience not just a show. Sure, at nearly 40 I felt like a geezer when it went fully off the rails but I sure as hell admired their spirit. And their last studio album, Young Machetes, was one of the best albums of 2006. Strident? sure. Abrasive? Sometimes, but always consciously so. And their level of musicianship was on par with bands like Tool and System of a Down for tightly harnessed mayhem. I will miss them, especially since they were just hitting a real creative high.
