since when has gpj not showed up (to anything)? he plays somewhere (especially in the nola dive bars), every night of the week... mostly unannounced. i'll glady take you're bet and pay my cover to the next unbilled gpj show on frenchman st...

George is without a doubt the coolest musician I've ever met. Just a regular dude that happens to just about the funkiest cat on the planet. He gigs harder than People 35 years younger than him too.

i'd guess because the new howlin' wolf can hold a much bigger crowd and bc its warehouse layout makes it a good place to hold a dinner as well??? and probably to bring business to a different club. tip's isn't exactly hurting since katrina. i'm pumped about the howlin' wolf. i saw mmw and friends (dj logic, leo nocentelli, skerik, benevento, russell batiste, etc) there around jazzfest, and it went on until 4~5 AM. who knows who'll show to this party...
