Dire Straits front man Mark Knopfler released the critically-acclaimed solo album
Privateering globally last September with one major exception. The guitarist's first
double album wasn't released here in the States thanks to a dispute between Knopfler and his
longtime record company - Warner Brothers. On September 10 Privateering will finally
be available here in the U.S. as Knopfler has signed with Universal.
To help promote the album, Mark will hit the road in late October for a West Coast swing.
Knopfler's jaunt kicks off in Long Beach, CA on October 23 and visits Las Vegas and Los
Angeles before it comes to a close at Oakland's Fox Theater on October 27.
Presales begin tomorrow morning, August 13, at 10 a.m. PDT.
Here's the full list of dates:
Oct 23 - Terrace Theater, Long Beach, CA
