Sweetness, first one. Sounds good, but I want live dvds! Bonnaroo made video available of the 02, 03 and 04 festival but nothing from 05, 06 or 07 yet. Who the hell is running this shit, seriously.

honestly!! no one wants some lame jack johnson cd from those festivals... we want the heat on dvd. umphreys, dumpstahfunk, govt mule with john paul jones(this whole show would be nice), widespread panic, bela fleck, phil, more umphreys, herbie hancock, not the police, norf mississippi allstars, moe., radiohead, tool but the maynards a cunt so he wont allow that, ani difranco, any of the superjams... cmon, it will make us all happy, and bonnaroo will make a shitload of money in the process...

yea.....this disc leaves something to be desired....not that all the tracks are totally bunk, but with such diverse lineups at b-roo and vegoose this compilation misses the mark for me.

They aren't inviting heavy hitting bands anynore. Only posers allowed from now on.

What a shitty track list. this does not seem to be very representative of these festivals.

The headline is misleading, this is one record labels compilation of live Bonnaroo and Vegoose performances. AC/Superfly needs to compile a live DVD of the best performances of the last three years.

Radiohead--"There There" (2006)

Widespread Panic--"Arleen" (2005)

Flaming Lips--"Race for the Prize" (2007)

Trey, Mike and the Duo w/ Phil Lesh Superjam--"Goin' Down the Road..."(2006)

STS9--"GLOgli"(2005)

The Word--"Joyful Noise" (2005)

Toubab Krewe--"Djarabi" (2006)

Wilco--"Impossible Germany" (2007)

My Morning Jacket--"Gideon" (2006)

*add to the list and send it to Superfly

i'm not paying to see one song from money mark. this sounds like trash. I never bitch about the people who complain when "non-jambands" are reviewed... and even though this is from two quote "jamband" festivals, i for one believe this article never should have been posted. I hope they sell 1 copy and the guy returns it.

No way! Superfly put together something shitty and expects us to like it?!?! Sounds like their CDS are just as good as their festivals... and this puppet of a website. Nice commercial you sellouts.

I bet the genius that came up with this bright idea is wearing a sun visor and a light pink LaCoste shirt with a popped collar. This CD reeks of douchebaggery. I will probably illegally download this CD from a Bit Torrent site when it comes out and burn it onto a disc and give it to the first douchebag fratboy I see.

umm tell us how you really feel.

no seriously though, we all know what shit that vegoose and b-roo have become but as HGMN stated this is Jack J's label trying to scrounge money from the whole fiasco. I would expect Superfly to release a cd full of the mainstream shit they have thrown on stage the last few years (this year was chock full o' shit) and then they will throw in one or two songs from someone worth a damn or one of the superjams just so they can prove they are still "worthy" of our attention this way they can maximize sells from the aforementioned douche bag frat boys that want to prove they are cool and still TRY to suck the jam community's pockets as well.

yeah I think HGMN is right, all these artists are on jack johnsons record label. these are solid tunes but for an over-arching compilation of awesome jams and moments from vegoose and b-roo the last three years I mean...not to be opinionated but like...seriously, not cutting the mustard. I thought that "wasting time" song was called "isla vista song", I could be wrong

ers7 Sun 11/4/2007 09:27PM

actually the official track listing on fly between falls is, "Wasting Time (Isla Vista Song)" so both are acceptable, and as far as the cd goes, don't bother buying it, I'm sure you'll hear it at the local gas station, grocery store, or the next mcdonalds commercial...only kidding : )

Thanks for the reviews folks. I was considering buying this CD before I read a lot of these posts. I recently started listening to ALO, which I recommend,... the others not so much. I'm not exactly sure why giving a bad review of something is close minded. People pan music and movies all the time. If it sucks, it sucks. I thank these folks for being honest.

The reason why their comments are close-minded is because not one of them have actually bought the cd or for that matter ever even listened to any of the artists on the album. Basically, what they are saying is I don't want to even give this artist a try because I am too "heady" to look outside of my little Dead, Phish, Panic, MMW box. Get a grip guys music over the past 100 years has been full of absolutely phenomenal artists who play many different styles of music that appeal to many different groups of people. Go check out some of the country, bluegrass, blues, funk or jazz discussion pages on the net and you'll see that they are more "open-minded" than this "group" of people. So much for hippies being open minded.

Wow allmanbros, you must be fun to hang out with, considering I've seen jack johnson, glove, and ALO a combined 20+ times, I really have no basis for my opinion huh? Also, it's fair to judge people based on one comment made on jambase, take your headier than thou attitude elsewhere.

This is a Brushfire Artist only Bonaroo/Vegoose CD. If those other bands belong to this label maybe they would be on it. But there NOT! I'm a huge new ALO fan. Lots of heads are flocking to ALO these days from SCI, Phil & Friends, Widespread Panic, Tea Leaf Green & Trey Anastasio Band crowds. Props to Jack Johnson & the Brushfire crew for showing the love to there fans. If you don't like it email me takealongwalkonashortpeer@crybabies.com
