Thank you Jambase for posting these photos!! Looks like a one of a kind event, and a west coast specialty that is starting to really form a niche in the west scenery. I hope Joshua Tree continues to support events like this and I truly hope to make it down there sometime for either fest. Seems like a wonderful roots celebration. Cant go wrong with Butter and the Trespassers. I look forward to more tidbits on Joshua Tree festivals in the future and cross my fingers I can bee a part of it someday.

Interesting to see the heavy NC/TN/GA representation out in the desert. Chocolate Drops are for the children! These folks are singlehandedly preserving a rich musical tradition here in central NC. Literally. If you don't know, you betta ask somebody.

I love these two festivals that were reviewed. I lived on the west coast way back and it reminds of that thing, freedom, intrigue, transformation.

Dig it. Great articles, great pictues... Very warm

Awesome photos of a really fun show -- even save for the wind!!! Crazy wind a'com howlin' through! The bands were all so awesome and really endured through the blowing sand, flapping tarps, runaway chairs, etc.

We had a really fun weekend at this JTMF!
