MARTIN AND THE STEEP CANYON RANGERS WITH EDIE BRICKELL
TO REPLACE MUMFORD & SONS AT TELLURIDE BLUEGRASS

Steve Martin
Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers with Edie Brickell have stepped up to replace Mumford & Sons at Telluride Bluegrass in Telluride, CO on Thursday night. The comedian and his bluegrass band will headline Thursday night's action at the long-running festival with a set scheduled to run from 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Mumford & Sons had to cancel their Telluride appearance, along with other dates including a headlining slot at Bonnaroo, to allow bassist Ted Dwane to recover from emergency surgery. Dwane is currently recovering and shared the following blog post on the Mumford & Sons website:

Bear with a sore head! Thanks so much for all the well wishing, it seems to be working! I’m home.

Ted xx

The 40th edition of Telluride Bluegrass kicks off on Thursday and runs through Sunday. Jackson Browne, String Cheese Incident, Masters of Bluegrass, Leftover Salmon and Feist are among the acts set to perform at Telluride's Town Park this weekend.
