Dave Matthews Band Covers Tom Petty, Jams With Stanley Jordan In Hartford

This weekend the Dave Matthews Band returned to the Comcast Theatre in Hartford, CT for a two-night stand at the urban venue. On Friday night, the band debuted a cover of "Runnin' Down A Dream" by Tom Petty and brought out guitarist Stanley Jordan for versions of "The Dreaming Tree" and "Rhyme And Reason."

Saturday's performance saw the return of Jordan for DMB's first version of "Spoon" since November 19, 2010. In addition, jazz guitarist Mark Whitfield helped out on "Mercy." DMB kicked off last night's encore with a bit of recently revitalized classic "Blue Water" before ending the show with "Two Step." Next up for the Dave Matthews Band is a two-night stand at the Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA.
