FOR STEVE BUSCEMI-DIRECTED “AMERICAN EXPRESS UNSTAGED” PERFORMANCE

NYC natives Vampire Weekend celebrated the upcoming release of their Modern Vampires Of The City album last night at the Roseland Ballroom in Manhattan. The entire show was broadcast live over the internet as part of the "American Express Unstaged" series, with actor Steve Buscemi handling directorial duties.

Not only did Buscemi direct the live broadcast, but he also guested with Vampire Weekend on "A-Punk." Over the course of the shows 19 songs, VW offered a fairly equal mix of material from their three studio albums with seven songs off their debut LP, six songs from 2010's Contra and five tunes off Modern Vampires Of The City. The Modern Vampires Of The City track "Obvious Bicycle" saw its live debut last night.
