Pro-Shot Farm Aid '97 Videos Emerge: Allmans, DMB and John Fogerty

OFFICIAL FARM AID YOUTUBE CHANNEL SHARES
ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND, DAVE MATTHEWS BAND AND JOHN FOGERTY PERFORMANCES

Earlier this afternoon the Official Farm Aid YouTube channel came alive with a set of incredible videos from the 1997 event, which was held in Tinley Park, Illinois on October 4th. Farm Aid shared impressive performances from JamBase favorites the Allman Brothers Band, the Dave Matthews Band and John Fogerty that are all worth repeated viewings.

The Allmans videos stand as the highest quality videos available on YouTube from 1997 featuring original member Dickey Betts. Watch as Betts works frenetic licks in between cigarette puffs on "Statesboro Blues," "Black Hearted Woman" and "No One Left To Run With."

Dave Matthews has gone on to become a Farm Aid board member and regular performer at the annual benefit. Back in 1997 he was making one of the his first Farm Aid appearances with the rest of the Dave Matthews Band. Check out DMB's takes on "Two Step" and "Crash Into Me."

It took a long time before John Fogerty was ready to play Creedence Clearwater Revival songs after a rough, litigation-filled breakup with the band. By 1997, though, he was all about it. Enjoy performances of "Born On The Bayou," "Suzie Q," "I Put A Spell On You," "The Old Man Down The Road," "Fortunate Son," "Proud Mary" and "Travelin' Band."
