Particle Moves Ahead With Special Guest Guitarists

Steve Molitz - Particle by Valerie Levinsohn
Particle is pleased to announce they will be joined by guitarist Barry Sless October 27 at Nelson Ledges. Barry and Steve have shared the stage over the years in Phil Lesh & Friends, and Particle is happy to welcome him as our guest this weekend. The band is also excited to announce that guitarist Josh Clark from Tea Leaf Green will join Particle in NYC at The Highline Ballroom on November 2. TLG made their NYC debut opening for Particle back in August of 2002, and we're thrilled to team up with Josh once again in the city that never sleeps for this special late night show. A limited number of tickets are still available at ticketweb.com

Winter Tour With Josh Clark!
In case you miss him in New York, you'll get another chance to catch Tea Leaf Green's Josh Clark share the stage with Particle as he joins us for the majority of our Winter Tour. Josh will appear November 29 in Milwaukee, WI through December 6 in Columbia, MO, and then again from December 11 in Birmingham, AL through the end of the run in Austin, TX. All tour dates and details are listed below, and an announcement of who will join the band December 7, 8, 9 will follow shortly. Also, be sure to check out www.tealeafgreen.com for all the latest TLG news.

Particle NYE Run!
This year's NYE run will kickoff with a two night stand at Winston's in Ocean Beach, CA on December 27 and 28. It's always an honor to play The Great American Music Hall, and this time is no exception. The band will be headlining the historic venue on December 29 in San Francisco, CA before heading to the Rockies for a two night NYE celebration at Cervantes in Denver, CO December 30 and 31. Stay tuned to www.particlepeople.com for upcoming announcements of our New Year's Run special guests...

i don't remember sless & molitz being in Phil & Friends concurrently...

in fact, i'm pretty sure they weren't. if so, it was only for a few shows and not "over the years".

The addition of Clark just raised my interest level in the Dallas show, now I just need the rest of TLG to show up.

Particle lives on! Sorry to all the people who hate Particle. But its a good day for the Particle People. I can't wait to see what Josh Clark will add to Particle's sound. Maybe this will bring some Tea Leaf Green fans to these Particle shows.

It should be interesting to say the least. I love Josh. Not quite sure how his sound fits in with Particle though. I guess I'll have to see it to find out. Milwaukee, here I come!

anyone else think a little wierd and pathetic that wouldn't even mention ben ever having been in the band? josh is great but particle will drive him away like they did do to three other guitarists. charlie is more likely to play with ben than ever playing with particle again...who is interested in that show --> charlie, ben, and scott? would it be called farticle?

Josh is just a special guest at these shows, its not like he is a member of Particle. I am sure Josh will be a great addition for this run of shows.

terapin is correct, i too have seen them both on the stage with phil and his friends, it was some nasty shit...anyway, i hope these guests add a new spark to particle and we get some stellar playing from the boys, onward and upward

as far as the music is considered this is a great move to bring josh on. as far as particle is considered this move is terrible...josh's licks are sure to reveal just how shitty particle actually is. maybe it'll make people realize that.

okalrightic has a good point. charlie, ben, scott--all fine guitarists. I think they were WAY above particle's musical level. particle is lucky to attract good guitarists, but at some point, their luck will run out. it's just the law of averages.

Not trying to be negative, but really who cares? Particle is horrible, Molitz is a d-bag, and now they are adding J Clark who is just as boring as particle.

No matter who they get to play guitar there is no way to cover up the terrible sound...of the synthesizer.

These guys are going to tear the roof off of Antones. For those of you who dont know Antones has about 2 or 3 good shows a year (the last real great one being MasonJennnings) so this is going to kickin'...

j-bizzle, you are in serious need of a slap to the face. Josh Clark is everything but boring. I would even argue he is one of the best up and coming guitarists today. Clearly you have never heard him play anything otherwise you wouldn't let that crap flow out of your mouth. better check yourself hater.

JOsh is one of the better young guitar players out there today. He has the potential to be truly great if he remebers to not get in the tendency to be lazy like they sometimes do. AT their best Tea Leaf Green is one of my favorite. I would be more excited to see Josh alone. I appreciate that some of you don't dig on TEa leaf, I do

Josh will officially be the best guitarist they ever had.

Hitchcock was a stupid shredder. Ben was cool and I was digging him, but too late now.

Particle if they keep to their standards of instrumental funk jam, should be able to keep attracting crowds, regardless of how many dummies on jambase say they suck, with out giving any concrete reasons to back it up. :P
