NOLAFUNK JAZZFEST SERIES ANNOUNCES MORE SHOWS
The 2nd Annual Nolafunk Jazzfest Series has
announced four more shows at Republic during the evenings and weekends of Jazz Fest, including two incredible all-
star lineups during the 2nd weekend. Chicago’s The Main Squeeze will play a late-night after the sold out Meter Men show on April 27,
performing the music of Stevie Wonder & some originals too. Tickets are $10 tickets, and free to all Meter Men ticket
holders. On May 1, The Black Angels
from Austin, TX will come through Republic on their Indigo Meadow Tour.
Thursday May 2, the Nolafunk Jazzfest
Series proudly hosts Down on the Bayou IV: A Benefit for the New Orleans Musicians' Clinic which features house
band The New Orleans Suspects & the
Bonerama Horns with Dr. John, JoJo Hermann (Widespread Panic), Marcia Ball, Col. Bruce Hampton, John Gros, Harry
Shearer, Christine Ohlman & more special guests TBA.
Last but not least, The Everyone Orchestra will perform a
special Jazz Fest edition with Marco Benevento, Johnny Vidacovich, DJ Logic, Reed Mathis (Tea Leaf Green), Jen
Hartswick & Natalie Cressman (Trey Anastasio Band), Roosevelt Colier (Lee Boys) & more TBA. Orgone & Jon Cleary
will also appear on the bill.
Under the Nolafunk moniker, CEG honors the musical heroes and spirit of New Orleans all year round, producing
concerts in New York City and elsewhere featuring many of the Big Easy's finest musicians, such as Dr. John, Rebirth
Brass Band, Kermit Ruffins, Anders Osborne, Bonerama, Eric Lindell, Papa Grows Funk and many more. In addition,
CEG amasses all-star Nola-centric lineups for both the annual Nolafunk Mardi Gras Ball and the annual Nolafunk
