GZA
The Disco Biscuits are extremely excited about the New Years Run, which is shaping up to be a mini five-day festival aimed to ring in 2008 in spectacular fashion! The band has added a bunch of club banging support acts and is getting ready to party!

For the Hammerstein Ballroom shows they've added the master of dub, OTT (Twisted Records - U.K. - psy-dub), who will be making the journey from Europe to play a live set on Friday and a set-break DJ set on Saturday. GZA (Wu-Tang Clan) with the Fyre Dept. featuring Adam Deitch and Eric Krasno (Soulive) will bring the house down with an opening set on Saturday. As if that wasn't enough, Orchard Lounge will join the fun for a set-break set on Friday night.

Additionally, Orchard Lounge will play with Future Rock and a very special guest to be announced for a special late night party at Highline Ballroom on 12/29 (technically 12/30). Tickets are on sale at highlineballroom.com.

Also for New Years Eve Bisco has added hometown favorites' Grimace Federation for a set of their incredible "think rock." As well, Philadelphia Experiment, the burning man camp famous for legendary local warehouse parties will take over the "black box" at the Tweeter Center.

BISCO...SIGHT...SOUND...PERFORMANCE

The Disco Biscuits
The Disco Biscuits are excited to announce CIRCO BISCO, the 2007 Three Ring New Years Celebration!

After two nights at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Friday December 28 and Saturday December 29, Bisco takes Philly by storm at the Electric Factory on Sunday the 30, culminating in a spectacle at the Tweeter Center on New Years Eve. This year tDB will be joined by special guests Keller Williams, Bassnectar and Antibalas!

That's just the beginning, however, as the "three ring" CIRCO BISCO overflows from the main stage to the black box and across the after hours dance floor. Stay tuned for info on additional performers and events... And don't forget, YOU are part of the circus! Come in Costume! Dress To Impress! Be a part of the show!

The line between performer and party-goer will become irrelevant at the Inaugural New Year's CIRCO BISCO!

Single day tickets to Hammerstein and Two day passes to Electric Factory & Tweeter go on-sale Friday October 19 on Bisco Tix and to the general public on Friday October 26. Make sure to get your tickets right away, as the best seats in the Tweeter are the 2 day passes! The first 1000 who buy tickets will get seated in the General Admission Pit!

So you want to celebrate New Years Eve in a major city, but fear there's no way you could afford it? Well, there's good news folks as our dear friend ConsiderItDan has already negotiated some great rates and put together a travel package for the 2008 New Years Run in Philadelphia. Packages start at just $349 per person, and include hotel accommodations for 2 nights, tickets to both the Electric Factory and the Tweeter Center, and shuttle transportation to and from your hotel and the venue on both the 30th and 31st. Basically, all you do is buy a package and get yourself to Philly, then ConsiderItDan will handle the rest! No need to wait in the cold for your will call tickets and no hassle trying to catch a cab. ConsiderItDan has arranged a will call window set up at the hotel of your choice so you can easily get your tickets upon room check-in. After a little pre-partying champagne, ConsiderItDan will whisk you away, deliver you to a raging night of fun, and make sure you get back your hotel safe and sound at the end of night. Check www.consideritdan.com, and get your travel packages while supplies last.

I am in the middle of this soon to be insuing debate...I dont know, i suggest d/l some Nujabes, not really like d/bs, but i like em. i saw cheese nye a few years ago at radio city and had tickets to bisco and passed, cheese really played a lame ass show, so.....i should have gone to thte bars w/ my homies....once again, anyone heard purity too by sts9 live?i would really appreciate a show rec/ w/ that track. Late.

Jon Gutwillig is the best guitarist playing today period. They are one of the few bands out there that can pass the Acid test. You kids are doing too much bullshit drugs. Drop some L like a man and you'll thank God for the Disco Biscuits. I know some rave fans can be obnoxious, but most of them are just sweating and smiling with glow sticks. The DIsco Biscuits are simply amazing. Phil Lesh recorded their demo and has been a big supporter. They are trying to bring the ravers into the psychadelic mix. It's about time. 70% of the world is listening to dance music and they are listening to it on RECORDS. BISCO proves that a band can be far more interesting than a DJ ever can be. FOr good tapes, Check out any show at The Electric Factory in Philly. Good recordings are a must with Bisco.

Mullets are boring. 3 minute songs are boring, and yes indie rock with a pretty boy singing with a fake English accent is boring. If you can't compete just talk shit.

I'm setting the over/under on overdoses at 5. Paying 5 to 2. Any takers?

Fuck Philly's venues. The are as old and shitty as the city itself. Electric Factory blows, Penns Landing is to fucking small, the Tweeter Center sucks (Does anyone remember its really in CAMDEN!)

By the way, I can drop L and dance to water dripping in my sink. Biscuits still suck. Sorry BigFro. Its cool that you like them, but there is a reason everyone associates drugs and assholes with these guys. I like to have fun, but I'm not a asshole when getting down, or doing it out in the open blatenly as much, or almost dying and/or spending half the night in a K hole. I bet 75% of the people are there just because they know they can score. Bisco knows it, and they cater to it, and probably cook up half the shit thats going around. If I could go spin shitty techno, get $30 a ticket, and unload a bunch of shit, I'd take it on the road too. The way the fans act and they are portrayed, you have to look at the band they follow and ask questions.

I agree with toeknee...the biscuits are the main reason I gave up on E for the longest time...The message of the band and all that goes along with it is not for the music...yeah partyin is fun...but what about the real reason people like myself and toeknee go to shoes? Its about the experience and the music and not a commercialized drug fest...drugs will always be at concerts, which is fine...but for Christs sake, lets not degrade our generation and give in to the stereotype of so called hippies or ravers or whatever your feelin...lets make everyone realize that we can be responsible and still have a good time, which is a big task in the world of sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll...

I just want to add that I've only seen the biscuits once in athens, ga in 2006, but they were nasty. I've quit getting wasted and turned my life over to the Lord. I still love to go to shows sober and just enjoy the music. I was sober at the biscuits show I went to and it was one of my favorite shows of the year. This message is not to judge or criticize anyone, I'm just adding that good bands are good no matter what state of mind your in.

I saw the disco biscuits once at 10klf this past summer. They came on after Umphrey's and i was let down. I expected a gr8 show but all i got was a crowd that seemed to car about the drug aspect more then the music itself. Now i'm not sayin i wasn't spun at this show but after a mind blowing Umphrey's set, disco just didn't bring it. If you want to go to a show to find drugs and listen to the same rifts be played over and over again for 10 minutes then listen to disco, but if you wanna hear music that actually sounds good w/ a band that know how to play there instruments LISTEN TO UMPHREY'S!!!

I'm not a fan of the E Factory. When I saw people moshing to a sitar jam at the last Fancy Band show, I knew something was wrong with that place. I had to throw a pencil away when I was searched...(but a lighter...that's perfectly fine). I'm gonna be in VA with a friend from 27 to at least the 29th, gonna see Duo at the sonar. Not sure if I wanna deal with the E Factory's stereotypical and obnoxious security, or if I wanna try for NYE. Also, I just don't feel UM too much. It reminds me of that cheesy neo-prog stuff too much, too dry for my tastes. Like whatever you want, though.

Biscuits can rock, no denying them that, but I cant agree with their choice of nye venues. i guess they play shit holes so their kids can get away with whatever. they did this run last year. it didnt seem like a nye celebration, just another night in biscoville. musically, the show was good.

I've only Bisco a couple of times in SoFla when I used to live there and I have to say that they were really good. The only thing that I found incredibly annoying, and this goes for any show I go to is the people that never seem to shut the fuck up! I can't stand it when I go to a show and all the cell phone toting wanna-beez get together to chatter about how cool they are for being there. SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!! I go to live shows for the MUSIC and for the energy and excitement that improvisational music gives us. If you absolutely need to talk wait till the song ends or go to the lobby area or just get away from me!!!

1. It's not just the E Factory; people mosh at Fancy Band shows so get over and it get out some more.

2. Bisco has a faster groove than most bands can think. They obviously have the ability to think quicker and jam at a higher level than most bands. This doesn't make them the best, worst, or anything in between...it's the truth.

3. As for the holier than thou fans, who the hell are all of you? No one? Who gave you any authority about music? No one.

4. What's the difference between STS9 and Bisco crowds? At the last STS9 club I attended, the crowd was no different than a Bisco crowd. Why is there such a double standard?

5. I have never seen SO MANY people concerned about a band that they hate.

I guess everyone has to put themselves on a cloud so they can **** on the rest of us. Bisco fans, don't concern yourselves with these haters.

6. PEOPLE THAT DON'T DO OR TEACH, MUST CRITICIZE.

FU*K ALL YOU BISCO HATERS!!! Don't you people have better shit to do then hate on a band that YOU don't like?? If I were to see an article on Michael Franti, I wouldn't even read it because I don't like him! But I wouldn't click on it, and talk a bunch of shit about him either, because I'm not a shady D Bag....You guys are the same people that were talking mad shit all week before camp bisco about how dirty and horrible it was gonna be.....Well guess what? Camp Bisco was one of the cleanest, most problem-free, enjoyable festivals I've ever been to. Crazier shit went on at All Good and Langerado; I saw it with my own two eyes!! You can't just come on here and make assumptions about Disco Biscuits fans in general?? I know plenty of scum bag Phish heads, that dropped out of high school to tour and sell drugs, but does that make all Phish phans bad people?? Can't wait to see Bisco on Wednesday in Cincy.....and no I won't be in a K Hole you jackass...probably just gonna have a few beers and smoke a joint!

gmoo, I really don't like being told to get out more. I go to as many shows as I can, even without a car, and if I have a ticket I'll take a bus or whatever I need to just to be there. All I know is that I didn't see any moshing or stupid fighting during any other fancy band show I saw. There's a big difference between moshing to highball and running into each other during gabby's part of vernon the company man. The E Factory security are jackasses just to be jackasses, they're complete stereotypes and they just like to give everyone shit.

Bisco kids need to quit smoking deemsters? How is that relevant? And what's with the crack smoking and all that? I doubt that guy actually saw that. Hell, Friday night at All Good some guy near me during Ratdog said someone was smoking crack in the bathroom. Maybe or maybe not, but I wouldn't delude myself into believing that just because it had a more classic vibe to it that there wouldn't at least be some crazy people there. And if the biscuits are retarded, how is it that they can "unload shit" at all of their shows and still have that information only known to the bored haters on the internet?

I think its funny how critics of the Disco Biscuits seem to talk more about drugs and the scene than the fans themselves do... Real fans talk about music... Whether someone does K, DMT, Cocaine or any other number of drugs is entirely irrelevant... I see more people on here bash on the fans and the drugs than the music itself... Joe shmo might smoke deemsters, crack and stuff K up his nose, but that doesnt mean he cant have anything to say about the music itself, that he's not a fan, or that he's in it for all the wrong reasons... People have the right to express their opinions of any band or any type of music, but theres no need for people to judge people... Go ahead and explain why you dont like the Biscuits, express your opinions on Umphreys being a better band, its a free country... But dont judge me simply because im a fan, you dont know anything about me or what the music means to me... Grow up, live and let live, and get over yourselves... Go see your band if the Biscuits dont do it for you, im happy you found what you love, be happy for me... -Peace
