Gov't Mule Mighty High

GOV'T MULE RELEASE DUB ALBUM MIGHTY HIGH OCTOBER 16

Gov't Mule
ATO Records is proud to release Gov't Mule's MIGHTY HIGH on Tuesday, October 16. The recording features dub remixes of several tracks from Gov't Mule's acclaimed 2006 release HIGH & MIGHTY, as well as dub versions of the classic Mule cover by Al Green's, "I'm A Ram," The Band's "The Shape I'm In," and Otis Redding's "Hard to Handle." Some tracks were recorded in the studio while others were taken from Gov't Mule's 2006 New Year's Eve concert at the Beacon Theatre. Guest musicians include reggae/dub legend Toots Hibbert, Willi Williams, Michael Franti and Gordie Johnson. MIGHTY HIGH was produced by Warren Haynes and Gordie Johnson. Johnson mixed.

flat 5 to me mule is like a heavier ABB. meaning less jamming and more straight forward rock n roll. watching warren play is like a free clinic how how the guitar should be played.

Blech - first time i heard the reggae-ized Soul Shine i wanted to hurl. It's like being 6 and riding on the carousel at Salisbury Beach. Let Franti do reggae-lite - this is a huge waste of mule talent. I think warren actually believes all that crap he writes about himself anyway. Mr high and mighty indeed - if there wasn't any truth in it he wouldn't have to poke fun at it. Mule is over. died when they got the metrosexual bass player - RIP Allen Woody.
