Nick Lowe |
Music Downtown is a three-day concert series in Lower Manhattan.
The concerts are held on the plaza at 7 World Trade Center and free admission is on a first-come basis to the public, rain or shine.
Music Downtown is produced by Michael Dorf Presents, a boutique independent promoter and producer in New York presenting a variety of concerts at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and throughout the city.
Not only will Music Downtown increase critically needed foot traffic to the area, but it will also help to plant new seeds for Lower Manhattan's economic and cultural growth. By developing programs such as Music Downtown, Wall Street Rising is helping to promote Lower Manhattan as a quality destination for cultural programming and advocating for a vibrant, mixed-use community.
This evening (9/17), The Hold Steady will headline a show outside the New York building with Old 97's and Illinois. Tomorrow (9/18), M. Ward, Victoria Williams and McCarthy Trenching will perform and on Wednesday (9/19) Nick Lowe, Holmes Brothers and Ollabelle will be featured.
All shows are scheduled to start 5:30 EST, remain rain or shine. 7 World Trade Center is at Greenwich & Barclay Streets.
