Franti was amazing and the energy at the show very peaceful. The show was at Golden Gate Park, Raceway Meadows. Several people said there were 60,000 people there. Power to the Peaceful!!!

This is amazing and makes me miss SF to no end. Congratulations on an excellent event. This reminded me to go back to the Bonnaroo article and the comments about Franti. Its too bad you cannot transplant that vibe to everyone and have the same understanding or respect but at least it still exists. Keep it up!!

Looks like a lot of positive vibes and good energy. Man I miss the left coast. Just saw Franti in Aspen a couple of weeks ago and it was my first time checking him out. I have to say I'm not too familiar with his music but thought it was kind of bubblegummy. The highlight though was Warren Haynes coming out to play with him. Can someone direct me to a show of his or a cd worth checking out? I'd like to give him another chance. peace and thanks

"Stay Human" is a great album, and doesn't contain any of their "bubblegummy" tendencies. That is my favorite, with "Everyone Deserves Music" coming in second.

I attended this festival a few years ago and I must say it was truely enlightening. The guest speakers touched on political and social issues. The music was incredible, albeit somewhat abreviated. Golden Gate Park is possibly one of the greatest venues in North America. And To all the Franti haters, get over the fact that he asks the crowd "how you feelin?" about a million times every show. He's just trying to get everybody pumped, and although I don't love all of his music, I do agree with his message. So think twice before you jump on the bandwagon and start hatin, give him a listen, you may just like it. Power to the peaceful.

Great stuff! I was hoping to see some pics of Sharon Gannon and David Life... my beautiful yoga teachers! Oh well... looked like a blast!

THANKS!

BTW... please don't confuse positivity and using music to make a difference with "bubblegum." If ya want bubblegum listen to top 40.

Much love and respect!

NAMASTE

JOHN

I totally appreciate the positivity he brings to his music and loved his message and the fact he brought a bunch of kids up on stage which I thought was way cool. If you want bubblegum listen to top 40, that was my whole point. Marley, Dylan, etc. etc. made positive music and in no way would anyone consider them bubblegum. It was just my observation seeing him for the first time, just not what I expected. peace
