The String Cheese Incident |
Hot on the heels of The String Cheese Incident's Summer Tour 2007, The Mimi Fishman Foundation announces its latest charity auction installment, this time dubbed 'The Mimi Fishman Foundation Auction Incident.'
The auction features a wide and impressive assortment of SCI memorabilia, with a large focus on the final SCI run that took place at the Red Rocks amphitheater in early August, 2007. Rare items include stage setlists from the final shows, a signed commemorative Red Rocks ticket, Michael Kang's and Billy Nershi's actual stage carpets, guitar strings used at Red Rocks, Scramble Campbell's artwork created at Red Rocks, and much more!
The auction is a benefit for the Delta Gamma Center for Children With Visual Impairments. Since its inception in 1999, the Mimi Fishman Foundation - with help from friends such as The String Cheese Incident and Madison House (SCI's management company) - has raised nearly $50,000 for the Delta Gamma Center.
"The first three years of a child's life is a critical period in their development. For children who are blind or visually impaired - often with other disabilities - this time is even more critical for addressing their specialized learning needs. Music therapy makes a huge difference for children ages 3 months to 3 years, as well as their parents. The Mimi Fishman Foundation generously sponsors our music therapy program and their donations are key in building the program into such an important service our Center offers the children," says Rene DeFiore, the Center's Development Director.
