10/21/95 PERSHING AUDITORIUM AUDIO & VIDEO AT LIVEPHISH.COM

Phish first visited beautiful Nebraska on October 21, 1995 for the eighteenth show of their epic 58-show fall tour. We're pleased to add the video AND audio of their Pershing Auditorium show to the growing LivePhish.com catalog (with crystal clear, mastered soundboard audio) as the next installment in the on going LivePhish Audio and LivePhish Video series.

An added bonus, this landmark show is available on CD (exclusively at LivePhish.com at Phish Dry Goods) with filler from the soundcheck. 10/21/95 also marks the first Live Phish Video release to maximize the iPod's video capabilities (having doubled our video resolution; this video is encoded at 640x480 @ 1.5Mbps) for exceptional viewing.

The last four archive releases (08/13/93, 11/14/95, 12/1/95, and 12/29/97) are now available on CD with bonus tracks where space permits. We've also created special bundles to purchase CDs and MP3s together for a discounted price, as well as discounted CD and Video downloads, plus FLAC and Video download discounts. The discounts are available when you add items to your shopping cart. We will continuously expand the number of shows available over time from the LivePhish.com catalog.

This is high quality, and re-affirms my thoughts on how great of a year 1995 truly was for this band...

is a reunion totally out of the picture??? i like electronica, metal, and alternative just as much as the next hippie on jambase but i need a real band to get excited about these days.

indeed sleewell, indeed. I'm still a fan of lots of things these days, but few bands make me want to write off any previous plans for a weekend ( or week ) of shows the way Phish used to. Really nothing other than sporadic years of SCI, and now Umphrey's even comes close. But definitely not the same. Ahhhhhh the good ol' days the good ol' days... Hopefully all this electronica/live band bullshit will disapear like a passing fad. Hope so but doubt it, the kids these days seem to be all geeked out on that type of sh*t. I miss '95-'99. That was the heat!!!!!!!!!

jamtronica is sweet if you are 18 or just ingested a handful of molly, but i seriously doubt anyone will be sitting around 20 years from now lamenting on a killer disco biscuits show. "hmmmmmm was this before or after they realized they couldnt sing and just played the same beat for an hour without words?" dont get me wrong i have been known to get down and rage it to some electronica, but would i ever quit my job, pack up the car and travel around the country for a STS9 tour? not a chance.

Who cares what kind of music people get down to now? Why bash other people's taste? All I am trying to say is let music fans like what they like (as long as it isn't Fall Out Boy). And I don't think that a Phish reunion is out of the picture, every great band always wants to reexperience what they left behind.

i know some of you have downloaded video from phish (from the official site since they started this); I have just been able to upgrade to high speed and now have capacity to possibly do this....

question: how good is the quality of the video and can you then just make a dvd of it from that download?.....or is this only for ipods (which i don't have).....also cost and time to download would be appreciated (though i can probably get that from the site)....thanks!

So a Phish reunion..... totally out of the picture for AT LEAST 5 years, more likely in 10, in the most likely scenario it will never happen. Trey is doing really well at this point and is not gonna risk all the work he has put in by going on tour with phish. I doubt he will even tour until next summer, if that. We will wait and see, but this reunion is not happening any time soon if at all.
I hope i am totally wrong, but i know im not......

I think i will pick these discs up though, looks sweeeet!

This will be a nice addition to my collection of dry goods. Of and btw, if Trey phollows the rules of recovery, as most of you know, he is not supposed to hang with any of his old posse anymore, i.e. No reunion tour until he’s off the wagon.

For all of you who think electronica is a passing fad, has it passed since Pink Floyd invented it. Yes, Pink Floyd was electronica. If you don't believe me, checkout Live @ Pompeii. Rodger Waters, I believe it is, defends the perspective of one who uses 'synthesizers and other nontraditional equipment.' He explains, as most of you should realize unless you've never used a tool, or are a tool, that it's all in knowing how to use new instrument to make music. I apologize; I have digressed into explaining something that a lot of you can't understand due to perspective.

As far as it only being 18 year old X Crazed fiends @ STS9 or TDB shows, I think not. I went to SD HoB a few weeks ago, and there was a diverse crowd. I’m a 35 year old professional who no longer uses any thing close to unnatural mind altering substances. Music, dance, yoga, running, and a little of Mother Earth’s greatest flower occasionally, and I can dance all night to electronica. Oh and for the purists, it’s not the same beat over and over. Lastly, have you ever heard Phil, Fishman, or for that matter Trey sing?

sleewell - i agree totally.

pheel - phil's lead singing during his 30 years with the dead was limited to a couple songs. cant blame him for singing now that he's fronting a band. fishman sang more for comedic effect. and personally i like treys voice. either way, i'd love to hear any of them sing way more than id like to hear barber or magner. that being said, i think youre the exception to the rule in terms of sober enjoyment of jamtronicness. its fun to get down to a rockin techno party, but i like it as a part of the show, not the whole time. and synthesizers are a wonderful instrument, but their use doesnt have to be restricted to music with break beats. finally, speaking of the beats, you really dont think jamtronic beats get repetitive? seriously? maybe there are variations, but they are all essentially the same texture.

and as to youre claim that trey's work towards sobriety will prevent a reuinion...i dont think him playing music/touring with his original posse will make that more difficult, i think it will help. if he can get back into the groove of having fun and making music with these guys, he should be able to use this as a release. my fingers are permenantly crossed...

The comment about Trey not hangin’ with boys is a reflection of the years I spent in drug tx, funny thing is I was the counselor. AA and other tx centers mandate making new friends and abandoning the old ones to remain sober. As ridiculous as that sounds, it’s true.

As far as jamtronica is concerned, yes some of it is repetitive, particularly TDB. As far as STS9, Lotus, and pnuma are concerned, they are expanding the boundaries of what can be done electronically to stimulate our cochlea. I’m not saying I’m all for sobriety, but there are certainly ways other than X and whatever your dickhead buddy cooked up in his basement lab the other day to have fun.

As far as BISCO kids being crazed, they’re no worse than any other kids; I think that’s the point. They are adolescents; let them enjoy it.

BTW, all of you who say that BISCO kids this or that, you obviously were not in the know back in the day. The lot and the family, or even the phamily that came after, partied their asses off, preposition I know, but I don't want to call anybody an asshole.

I was never an official family member, but I had a number of acquaintances who were at the time. I remember them laying sheets and doing shots of a certain liquid with me, let alone the real x that came from the Universities in CA, ever heard of Berkley? What do you think people thought about the acid tests?

Kids party. Lucky ones get away with it. Others go to jail and others die, or are killed. Be sure you're one of the former rather than the latter of the two. God bless you friends in for the weight of their paper and mandatory minimums. You know who you are. I know that 25 yrs. is a long time, but hold on to something. Just remember you could be lying somewhere in the desert with the buzzards.

Peace to all and to all good night!
Pranaam.

I totally agree. Just saw TDB in Milwaukee and everyone thought it was a really good show. The show however didn't do much for me. I found myself rarely willing to dance to the trance.

Now, I was in Chi for the Tribe show at the HOB. And it was an amazing show. 5 song Encore and they came out jamming while the curtains were opening up. And many of the songs seemed to have a different touch than other versions that ive heard. And Tribe has made many strides from the band i first saw in '01.

Then theirs Lotus. Ive been seeing them since '03 and their muscianship has change over the course of 4 years. I used to believe they were more jazzy electronic and since are trying to go a little harder with their music. Still love em.

If you guys want to hear some live electronic music check out Psylab from Boston and Blvd from San Fran. These guys are really good.

i know what youre talkin about when it comes to addicts needing to make new friends...i just dont think that the boys were the motivating factor in treys problem. and i think that if trey can get a handle on his issues that getting back together and making music again with the people who he did his best work with can be a great thing for his recovery. who needs hard drugs when you have phish's music!

My 2 cents is that many of those electronica jam bands simply arent finding the balance between electronic jam and composition. But its all relative to the listener. Take for example all the people who whine that um is better than bisco and bisco is better than um. Personally i think UM is a million times better than bisco for a million reasons but i can still appreciate bisco for what they are good at.

gmoo- buffet is great, nothing like some buffet while sippin on a corona or fruity libation or 1800 blanco tequilla on a beach. Who would prefer to listen to stink cheese while sitting back or the island vibrations of Jimmy B. Especially once the BAC rises above legal levels, i know its kind of corny, but im down. PLus you gotta love anything w/ a steel drum...He also covers scarlet begonias on listen to chill, southern cross is solid too. Plus, when approaching blackout status, margaritaville is always great, blow out my flip flop, stepped on a pop top..who hasnt? Cutty<---deadhead/phishhead/parrothead...ill play some buffet in honor of friday right now the problem is i want to drink and not quite happyhour yet. Oh well, im a lush

...YES! I DO! It seems like CEARTAIN people want to brand opinions that do not sell sponsors products verry well as NEAGTIVE and at the same time praise opinions that flow with 'company interests' as being POSITIVE...THE CORPORATE MEDIA WHITEWASH! DONT BUY IT KIDS!

ITS ALL POLITICAL ~ ITS ALL MUSICAL ~ ITS ALL VITAL TO PRESERVING A REAL COMMUNITY...WE USE THE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE CHARGE TO MAKE A CURCUIT! WITHOUT IT WE ARE IN THE DARK!

(OK ~ PREACHY HIPPYSHIT OVERLOAD ~ ILL SHUT UP NOW W/THAT)

IM HAPPY AS A PIG IN SHIT WHENEVER PHISH RELEASES VIDS OF SHOWS! I SAT IN THE BALCONY AND WACTHED SOMEONE RECORD ALL OF THE OLD THEATER SHOWS IN THE NORTHEAST IN THE EARLY 90S FROM FIFTEEN ROWS OR SO BACK, DEAD CENTER ~ ID DO ANYTHING TO SEE SOME OF THOSE! DUDE HAD A MONOPOD AND A SMALL VIDEO CAMERA OF SOME SORT. I DIDNT KNOW HIM BUT HIS INTERESTS SEEMED CLEARLY IN DOCUMENTING THE MUSIC ~ NOT BOOTLEGGING ~ THERE WAS NO MONEY IN PHISH BOOTLEGS THAN!
