Duo Release '05 8x10 Show

The Duo
The Benevento/Russo Duo are proud to be offering live performaces in mp3 format through SNOCAP on their myspace page. The Duo are working closely with the SNOCAP folks to offer complete live downloads of past, present and future performances. Baltimore represent, what what!

Speaking of BMore, I saw the duo at the Recher Theatre in the winter and they filmed the show for a DVD. Anyone know anything about that?

Great idea....sure. But MP3? It seems like a good idea to offer a lossless version also. Personally, I don't even listen to/use MP3 files.
Obviously, the more Duo the better. But quality doesn't have to be compromised, imo.

Oh....you have to pay? I didn't know that. I love the Duo but when it comes to selling live shows, it seems like other bands (Phish, STS9) have a better system offering both MP3 AND Flac options.

these guys clearly have talent, but the sound is just to thin for me. the foam with gordo at 10klf last year was tight.

I am still looking for the Duos All Good Set. If anyone knows where it can be found let me know. It was the high light of the festival.

Waltz #1? Would that be the Elliott Smith song? Can anyone confirm this for me, I don't know to much about the duo. If they're playing Elliott Smith then thats the shit!

"I understand now let me comment" . Hmmm, this is new. I would also like to know what happened to the comments section on the Vegoose article, as it is gone. same thing happened to the wakarusa article. is Jambase caving in to the requests of concert promotors now? "take away the comments section on our article cause it's affecting our ticket sales negatively and we pay you a LOT of money to advertise on your site." is this what's going on Jambase? Shades of coporate America...oh my!

the last release from them was so WHACK, I couldn't stand it, there was no groove, just noisy tracks. Now I have heard two albums and its just to off the wall for me, I admire them as players though.

Saw these guys at SXSW a few years agoand they were dynamite. They sound alot better when the yplay in a small venue. They played to no more than a few hundred when I saw them.

I paid for the Mike G + duo show @ Bonnaroo '05. It's a decent show and those three guys make an interesting combo. That said I would NEVER pay to see the duo on their own. I don't understand how people can watch an entire set from them. Russo is a mediocre skinsman at best although Marco's keyboard setup is almost cool. They're making money as musicians so good for them. They just don't excite me at all and I don't see how they really get a crowd going. Too much electronic noise sucks.
