BEN HARPER AND THE INNOCENT CRIMINALS
ANNOUNCE FALL TOUR DATES
NEW ALBUM, LIFELINE, IN STORES AUGUST 28

At the end of a nine-month worldwide tour, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals went into a Paris recording studio and made their brilliant new album, Lifeline, in just seven days.

Rolling Stone calls Lifeline, "...an acoustic soul stunner...a thing of beauty."

Ben Harper
In order to best present the album, Ben Harper has selected some of the most beautiful and intimate theatres in North America. In his first ever seated theatre tour, he has chosen to perform in such legendary venues as New York's Radio City Music Hall, Atlanta's Fox Theatre, Oakland's Paramount, Nashville's Ryman Auditorium and Toronto's Massey Hall.

The band will perform the brand new album, Lifeline, dig deep into Harper's back catalog of soulful gems and they will feature songs from 2004's Grammy award winning There Will Be A Light.

Ben Harper and The Innocent Criminals will perform on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on August 28, Late Night with Conan O'Brien on September 21 and The Late Show with David Letterman on October 1.

Ha, I first saw him 10 years ago at Roseland in NYC and the equivalent of the pop collaredness was there. Sometimes you just have to put up with it. Kinda of like guys who use song and group names in their IDs...

This will be a sweet tour.

I've been waiting for a long time for a show like this from Ben.

YEAH , say whatever you want about collars and custys but ben fuckin rips one of the best guys playing right now , with a tight band to boot , "both sides of the gun " one of the best albums in the last couple years , and his live shows are always hot!
i could'nt give a shit if the justin timberlake fan club in its entirety went to evry one of his shows , not going to stop me from groovin to one of the grooviest dudes out there! he is just blowin away all those frilly jammy dudes on the scene! sorry if that upsets anybody but u just can't fuck with this band.

I will never forget 1997 mt. aire fest when he was just some guy walking around playing campfire style. Don't knock someone for success. His roots are here.

if you need any proof that Ben can rip it, check out either the recordings of Superjam from Bonnaroo, or the version of Dazed and Confused that he and John Paul Jones busted during Ben's festival set.

Ben Harper is a force to be reckoned with. I think he will shine in an atmosphere like this.

I can also see this as a great opportunity to record something along the likes of Live from Mars v2.0

Ben ROCKS! with that said I will be listening to those shows and not going. Its true about the popped collars and I just cant go to another show with kids calling each other to say they are there, or where on the floor they are. I went through that last time Jack and ALO came through - I learned my lesson...

who gives a shit about his the crowd, ben harper is an incredible musician with much diversity in his music. he hasnt put out one bad album, has meaningful lyrics and puts on a great show. i mostly like attending jam band shows too, but just because an artist or band isnt "scene" enough, doesnt mean theyre not talented and i wont go to there show. comments like the first few piss me off

I never justify a reason to not see a band based on its fanbase.

I hear you crystalcafe, but you know.

phish tour kids ruined my experience more than once.

I had never seen such a bunch of spoiled and selfish bunch of trashy trust fund wookies in all my life.
made my phish shows a bit more of a hassle.. even tho, like you say, I was there for PHISH not the crowd, but dealing with the crowd aspects is part of the show experience.
we can only hope no one gets on our nerves :)

you'll find more republicans at a widespread show then a ben harper show anyday. i generally cant stand republicans, but i still go to see panic

Some shows would be great if it weren't for the fans. PEATON, your comment made me laugh my ass off.

MILESGONE, funny you mention that trustfud thing becasue I know this one kid who is a total hippy and his dad is one of the head teachers at a local medical school so this dude just does what he wants like an asshole.

Why let others attitudes and behavior determine what you want to enjoy? Just close your eyes, listen to the music and dance your ass off! I saw Ben in Bend,OR, and it was an amazing show. Besides its YOUR attitude that determines YOUR enjoyment. Even at Coventry I managed to have a blast!

If I avoided concerts because of young (and admittedly annoying) kids I'd never get to see Ben, Umphrey's, Bisco, STS9, etc. Suck it up and support your musicians. Plus, kids = money = more touring.
