INSTRUMENTAL METAL OVERLORDS
TOUR NORTH AMERICA

Pelican by Pedro Roque
Chicago's premier instru-metalists Pelican hit the road this summer in support of their excellent new album, City of Echoes. Dynamic live performers who instantly make one forget there's not a lead singer out front, Pelican combine superior technical prowess with a heavy exploratory bent that conjures a sound that both headbangers and open-minded hippies can enjoy. XLR8R magazine says, "There is epic music and there is epic music. Chicago instrumental quartet Pelican is proudly guilty of producing the latter, penning tunes so ambitious and triumphant that your everyday life seems insignificant in comparison."

Just listened to the album. Sounds like emo without the whining and/or screaming. I don't consider this metal at all...get a drummer that can play a lick and get back to me. Better expedite those beans.

I'm not sure why this album is getting good reviews, and i like music like this! The performance is very sloppy. The tempos and fills from the drummer aren't good at all. Listen to Neurosis!!!
