NO HASSLES OR BAD ATTITUDES

For the past seven summers, music fans have converged on Ohio for one of the largest music festivals in the Midwest. The fifteenth semiannual Hookahville is being held at Frontier Ranch in Kirkersville, Ohio (located in Central Ohio, approximately 20 miles East of Columbus) on Memorial Day weekend, May 25-27, 2001. In addition to two nights of ekoostik hookah, Hookahville XV will feature live performances by modern country legend Willie Nelson, New Orleans R&B star Dr. John, veteran Cajun rockers The Radiators, American roots jammers Donna The Buffalo, and the bebop-influenced Dirty Dozen Brass Band. Tickets are available now through the website and after April 2 by phone at 1-888-TIXX-100.

The rolling landscape of Frontier Ranch has increased in size to provide more camping room among an already laid-back atmosphere. Sustaining previous Hookahville attendees' wishes, the promoters have allotted more port-o-pots than ever before to ensure a pleasant festival experience. Hosted and headlined by Ohio's own, ekoostik hookah, Hookahville allows the band to create their ideal "no hassles or bad attitudes" playing environment and share it with their fans and many fine live acts. Beginning as a camp-out on the property of keyboardist/vocalist Dave Katz and band manager Jeff Spencer, the wooded hills of Ohio have since served as the background for fourteen, semiannual Hookahville festivals, the most recent of which was held at Buckeye Lake Music Center. Hookahville brings musicians, fans, and travelers together in a rural setting for a weekend of entertainment bliss and has been held Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends since 1994.

Stay tuned to JamBase for a chance to win Hookahville tickets!
