Additions To Camp Bisco VI

The Disco Biscuits :: Camp Bisco V by Dave Vann
Umphrey's McGee will be returning to the Camp Bisco stage after taking a year off. In that year, they have refined, improved, and expanded their sound with some major festivals plays such as Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, 10k Lakes, and All Good. Their success in 2006 culminated in their amazing performance on New Year's Eve at The Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, and this summer Umphrey's McGee will be opening for The Dave Matthews Band at several large amphitheaters.

One of Britain's most unique and lively bands, The Bays will join the fray as well. Based upon hundreds of requests from the fans, the band that is "reinventing dance music" has been added.

Adam Deitch will be returning after performing on all three stages last year. This year he will be bringing the "The Storyteller" himself, Slick Rick and will also be performing a set with his own band, The Adam Deitch Project.

Also making a return visit this year will be Benzos and Indobox. Camp Bisco is also proud to introduce The Afromotive, a nine piece Afro-oriented world beat band out of Asheville, NC. In addition, Philadelphia's own Grimace Federation will be making their debut performance at Camp Bisco along with Digital Frontier, Strut and Caveman.

Tickets are on sale now for only $130 at campbisco.net, discobiscuits.com, and meatcamp.com. Be sure to get your tickets soon before this allotment runs out.

Reputed for each year offering music's most cutting edge and experimental innovators, Camp Bisco 6 will host three nights of music and camping at the Indian Lookout Country Club in upstate New York. With their initial artist line-up Simon Posford, OTT and YOUTH as they bring their dub circus project, Hallucinogen: In Dub to the states for its first ever U.S. appearance! Indian Lookout Country Club, located in Mariaville New York just ½ hour from Albany and 3 hours from both Boston and New York City, boasts 200 acres of serene rolling hills and natural beauty, and such amenities as flush toilets and showers. As always, Camp Bisco will work with various local officials, venue managers and The Camp Creek Organizers to ensure music fans a fun and safe weekend.

Also this year, Camp Bisco will "Go Green." Camp Bisco 6 will be powered by 100% renewable energy, thanks to sponsors Green Mountain Energy Company and Sustainable Waves.

Not-for-profit Conscious Alliance will also be on site to host a food drive. We are extremely excited to announce the sixth installment of Camp Bisco, to be held on August 16 - 18, at Indian Lookout Country Club in Mariaville, NY. This year's festivities will be extended by one day, and will feature three nights of music, and two full days. For the first time in the history of Camp Bisco, the Disco Biscuits will be playing all three nights. To make this Camp Bisco a positive experience for everyone, we will be working directly with the Camp Creek crew, who have been working at ILCC for years, as well as the land owners and the ILCC staff to make this the best home for Camp Bisco for years to come.

After listening to all your concerns from last year, we sought out for a venue that would be more pleasing to you, the fans. ILCC offers almost 200 acres of beautiful, flat, privately owned land in upstate New York, only 20 miles northwest of Albany. There will not be a shortage of land and all attendees will camp next to their cars and have the use of the many great facilities the venue has to offer including flushable toilets and clean bathroom facilities as well as men's and women's showers.

We ask that you be respectful to the land and the employees that run the grounds. While the front-gate search has been known to be thorough, once inside, you are free to move about the areas without the hassles of repeated searches. There is NO glass of any kind allowed on the property, along with no weapons, fireworks, or illegal substances. If you follow these simple rules, Camp Bisco will be a wonderful experience for all. Please remember that these rules are enforced to keep all attendees safe while they are on the property.

For those who choose not to camp, there are a wide variety of hotels and lodging within 15-20 minutes of ILCC in Schenectady, NY. We will also be sectioning off a large, flat field for RV parking only. Stay tuned to www.campbisco.net and www.discobiscuits.com for more details on this as well as all other information pertaining to the event.

Simon Posford, along with DJ OTT and Youth, will be performing a live set of Hallucinogen in DUB for the first time ever in the USA and only the second time ever world-wide. This show, which will be performed on live bass, keyboards, and other instruments, will surely be one of the highlights of a great weekend! They will be performing brand new music as well as the classics from the In Dub album.

Fuck the ghetto ass ILCC and fuck the asshole bikers and fuck the 8 hour long wait to get in. 3 reasons why Vibes sucked there last year. I have a bad feeling about this...sketchy bisco fans + aggressive bikers looking for a fight = disaster

worst place to attend a festy ever. how wrong is it to see bikers stealing from kids and then turning around and selling what they confiscated? i went to one "Bad Vibes" at that hellhole and i will never get anywhere close to a something run by that bunch of criminals.

these bikers didn't just steal peoples stuff and resell it last year. I saw them bust this older guy with acid last year and turn him right over to the police. I'm glad Vibes moves back to Bridgeport this year and they're still going to let people camp next to their rides. Bridgeport may not be the best place, but I heard they renovated the park and just about anywhere is a better place than that Nazi biker s###hole.

let me give you guys a better idea of these "biker" guys. SOME of them are assholes, SOME. not all. some of them were really nice, didn't care that you had a 10strip in your pocket, etc. SOME were huge assholes that seemed to want to start shit with people.

BEFORE THIS THREAD GOES HAYWIRE on security-related festival issues, let's clear the air. The memories of FOUR years of incredible, experimental music at Bisco should not be, in any way, compromised because of last year's security concerns at Hunter Mountain. As projected by many and myself, Meatcamp Prod's stepped up and addressed fans concerns....Not only by moving it to more acreage and a better venue (which BTW, only had issues with Harley dudes one year at GOTV) but also by going out and immediately snagging Sound Tribe Sector Nine. STS9, Posford, Psylab, Juan McLean, etc....These are great livetronica/dj acts to compliment the Biscuits. HOnestly, Meatcamp has impressed me throughout the years with the way they really listen and act on the fans' feedback! A Very Well Run Festival that should only grow exponentially again this year! See y'all in upstate in august.....via johnny goff

THOSE BIKERS ARE GREAT... This year will be my 14th year in a row at Indian Lookout Country Club and my 15th Camp Creek in a row... if you can play by their few rules.... (no glass, no dogs, no NO2, and no fires) you will have a great time... Great place... just be respectful of the rules and you will be fine!!!

ILCC is a great place despite the somewhat long waits to get in. Enjoy the music dont bring negative attention to yourselves and security wont bother you. Unfortunately thats hard for 80% of Bisco fans.

you are a fuckin douche bag. Just by referring to any band as the "fucking gay ass" speaks volumes of your level of intelligence. You must be about 13 years old. Have you ever seen Zilla? So what if it is one guy from SCI, they put on a good show that will go well with the other bands playing. Oh and by the way the string cheese incident owns your dumb ass.

i've been to gathering of the vibes past two year and as far the bikers go; i'd rather have bikers for security than cops any day, just don't bring in glass, no2, or video cameras, don't touch their bikes, then if you don't get in their face they won't get in yours...i also went to camp bisco last year and loved the latenite scene all day all night, the line up this year looks like headies, hopefully lightnight sets can go later than they do at vibes

p.s. thank you disco biscuits for bridging the pond by bringing europe's festival scene (psytrance djs simon posford, dj ott, infected mushroom, etc.) to our festival scene...now all you need is ozric tenticles and gong...and maybe in the future to continue briding the pond, bring the bands from camp bisco over there for a camp bisco europe

when sound tribe plays a pa set that means they're playing entirely through the Public Address system using only their macs, with all the drum machines, loops, etc. running through the computers. It's really interesting and exciting ONLY if you're into electronica, sometimes it can be a little wellllll, boring, but it takes a whole lot of talent to do some of the shit that they do. check it out if you get the chance, hopefully they've managed to make it more dance-y than that droning mind-trip aaooga that it was for a while.

Maestro starstarstar Thu 4/26/2007 12:21PM

Maestro

PA sets are tittytastic, especially if you like electronica. As for the Zilla comments...it's not Cheese, thank god...but if you havn't heard or seen them, how the fuck can you judge them? They are raw. PERIOD. Line up looks dope, and as long as people can respect everyone else...it should be a good time.

For all the HATERS, of any kind.....A BIG FUCK YOU, you dirty cumrags. YOU ALL know who YOU are.
