DUO ANNOUNCE VENUE CHANGE FOR APRIL 19 ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCES

The Duo
As many of you may or may not have heard, unfortunately, Tonic will be closing its doors for good on April 13. This means that we have to change the venue for the previously-scheduled Benevento/Russo Duo acoustic shows that were scheduled for April 19 at the venue. Thanks to our old friends at Rocks Off and The Knitting Factory, the show will go on.

We are pleased to announce that we have moved the two acoustic shows (8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.) to the Knitting Factory Main Space at 74 Leonard Street, in New York City. The Knitting Factory and Rocks Off have been working tirelessly with the band and management to ensure that everybody who had purchased tickets to either of the Tonic shows through Ticketweb or DuoTicketing will be admitted to the same performance that they purchased their tickets for. In addition, we will be limiting the capacity for each of these shows to only 200 tickets for each performance (the same size as Tonic). The Knitting Factory will provide general admission seating, as well as limited standing room for each performance.

For those of you who purchased tickets through DuoTicketing and are unable to attend the performance due to the venue change, Musictoday and the Benevento/Russo Duo will offer refunds. Please email tix@musictoday.com or you can call the Customer Service line at 1-800-594-TIXX if you need to request a refund due to the venue change.

Tickets for the Knitting Factory performances are available now through Ticketweb.com. These will be all ages shows and tickets will be $20 in advance and on the day of the show. Since all tickets purchased for the Tonic performances will be valid and accepted, we recommend that you purchase tickets quickly, as we expect them to move briskly for these very special acoustic engagements.

So here is the skinny:

What do they mean when they say it's an acoustic duo show? Marco plays a regular piano instead of an organ? Does Joe play with a different set?

Hope they come back to Atlanta soon. They won me over last time; I'd never heard of them until they took the stage!

Jturner... Get over it dude! They will probally go back to how they started Hammond B-3 and drums, no extra toys! The Macs and the samples came after they had been playing togeather for 3 years or so. They play for REAL every time they hit the stage. Keep up the hate, Jturner = Jackass!

the venue is only sweet if they don't oversell it...then it becomes a sweatbox with no ventillation.

the alterknit theathe downstairs is still good, though.

i think "acoustic" means unamplified instrumentation ... so for the duo, jt is correct in assuming it would mean piano and drums ... no toys, no drum pads, no wurli or b3, etc.

Dankbud - a B-3 is amplified thus would not be considered "acoustic." Whose the hater?
