Daft Punk at Coachella by Garcia

Coming off last year's critically acclaimed 2006 appearances at Coachella, new-school French progressive dance duo Daft Punk announced their first North America tour in over nine years!

Billed as ALIVE 2007, the tour will feature New York-based indie-electro-rock sensations The Rapture, who will play all but the Los Angeles date, and European underground house phenoms Sebastian and Kavinsky, who will appear at all dates.

I'd go see these guys any time, I've always been a fan. Too bad the closest show is probrably a good 12 hours or so

I saw them at Bang! back in Novemeber. One of the most amazing, intense live shows Ive ever seen. So full of energy. And the stage lights. WOW!

I live in Florida so everything is far away. Maybe I'll have to visit my friend out in Colorado. Red Rocks here I come!

Supposedly they are playing Lollapalooza in Chi-town Friday night. And Pearl Jam is playing Sunday night at Lollapalooza. Now; they haven't announced any people playing at Lollapalooza but this is what ive heard.

I have never heard of Daft Punk, but am intrigued by the photo. Looks crazy! What can those of you that are stoked tell me about them? All DJ, any instruments/vocals? My favorite band is Widespread Panic, but I am open to anything mind blowing.
