THE REDWOOD PROJECT FEATURED IN THE ALMANAC

Composer/percussionist Matt Butler's album The Redwood Project is featured in the latest issue of The Grateful Dead Almanac. The community page of The Almanac honors people dedicated to changing the world through their activist work. The Almanac is being mailed this week.

Matt is the former drummer for Jambay. The album features performances by Matt, didgeridoo master Stephen Kent, Greg Anton (Zero), Robin Sylvester (Missing Man Formation) and Butler's former Jambay bandmates chris Haugem (strings), Mike Sugar (bass) and Shelley Doty (vocals).

The album is a benefit for Environmental Protection Information Center (EPIC). Since 1983, EPIC has led a heroic effort to protect California's ancient redwood ecosystem through public education, citizen advocacy and litigation.

The Redwood Project has also been honored by New Age Voice for its' eco-friendly packaging design and by the Crossroads Music Awards for Acoustic Revolution music.
