The Funkiest brass band from the Big Easy - is harkening in a new era
with the release of their latest CD Hot Venom on Mardi Gras Records.
Allowed complete artistic control over the content of the recording, ReBirth has included some groundbreaking material on this 75-minute release. With guest appearances of rap music star Soulja Slim (courtesy No Limit Records), and Bounce artist Cheeky Black helping on vocals and rhymes, the ReBirth has made a solid step into hip hop music.
Because some of the lyrics contain adult content, the label has
released the album with a "Parental Advisory: Explicit Lyrics Content"
notice on the cover. It is believed to be the first brass band recording with a parental advisory label. The Album has been available in stores since February 19, 2001. ReBirth will be touring nationally and internationally to support this new release (Check out some of ReBirths tour dates below).
ReBirth will be in the North East this weekend including five shows at The Knitting Factory in New York City on Thursday, Friday & Saturday March 15, 16, 17! Some other highlights in there upcoming schedule will include dates in Santa Monica at Temple Bar March 29, Los Angeles at the Knitting Factory March 30, and Saturday March 31st at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco.
